My Girl and I

medium_My_Girl_and_I.2.jpg

I finally finished watching this movie. At first I thought it was pure romance. I tried to watch it anyway. I guess I was bored. I'm glad I watched it. It's not that pure romance. Of course, the comical side of the movie didn't fail to make me laugh. But this movie is more of a "sad" story. Song Hye-kyo (Full House) starred as So-eun, a pretty girl who had a leukemia. Su-ho, Su-eun's lover was played by Cha tae-hyun (My Sassy Girl and Windstruck).

I like the script of this movie, but I couldn't remember them all. Here are some:

"What's the probability of us meeting together?"
"Like seeing a star in a typhoon."

"Because I love you, you must be happy."

Delta

medium_Gong-gileanimeversion.jpg

Some people fear change. I don't. I just don't want to do it in a split moment. Things have to be done slowly, but surely. There are things in my life I want to change and I guess doing so would also affect other people around me. Maybe they'll also change a little to adjust.

medium_Greek_Delta.3.jpg I want to have little changes in my life because I sometimes get bored. I think a lot and it includes having imaginations. There are thoughts I have in mind that I want to happen in real life. Whatever they may be, may I become a better person. I don't intend to do this just for today, for this week, month, or year. It's just a starting point. I want to become better though it doesn't appear like that.

The person in the picture is Lee Jun Ki. I chose him because he, too, is going through changes in life. We have the same, almost, goal- to become better in our respective fields.

Whatever people may say around me, I know my stand. I won't ignore them, but I only have one to answer. In everything I think, say or do, I am always accountable to God. Holy Spirit, please help me.

Easy or hard, it's all in the mind. I shall endure because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I can do it! Shinrai, fighting! *victory pose*

Bbashya!

My Little Bride

medium_My_Little_Bride.2.jpg

Starring in this movie are Kim Rae-won (Sangmin) and Moon Geun-young (Boeun). The film is fun. I thought it was pure romance, with just very little comedy (which is usually present in korean movies). But I was wrong. It is a romantic-comedy film with more of humour.

Korean Dramas

I like watching Korean dramas. It's one of my ways to unwind and unstress myself. During the past week, I've finished watching two K-Dramas, My Girl and Hanoi Bride.

MY GIRL
medium_My_Girl.gif
medium_My_Girl_quartet.JPG
(L-R) Lee Dong Wook, Lee Da Hae, Park Si Yeon, Lee Jun Ki

I like the way Lee Da Hae took the character of Ju Yoo Rin. It's so paradoxial to her role in Green Rose. She's such a talent to reckon. As for Park Si Yeon, she's someone I easily spotted. Her character was quite an oil in the sea, which you can not miss. Lee Dong Wook, it's also obvious he's someone to reckon. I am talking about his acting skills. I was watching him as if I am a producer or someone in the casting staff. There's something about his acting that's definitely Lee Dong Wook.

medium_Lee_2_Lee.2.jpg But my favourite among the quartet is Lee Jun Ki. I didn't like him at first. But that didn't mean I forgot him entirely. I was actually watching him, more than the rest of the actors. I like Lee Jun Ki as an actor.

To all the cast and crew of My Girl, thank you for making such a fun and lovely comedy-drama. Bbashya!! ^_~

HANOI BRIDE

Kim Ok Bin and Lee Dong Wook starred together in this drama series. Ms. Kim's role was a Vietnamese interpreter who worked for a Korean doctor, Lee Dong Wook, who's staying in Hanoi. The places where this drama was taken were all nice. I love the sceneric views in Vietnam.

I watched this days earlier, just forgot exactly when. It's just a short drama series, but it was also nice. Learned something from it. By the way, Kim Ok Bin was really pretty in this drama. As for Lee Don Wook, I've learned something about the way he acts. So Lee Dong Wook.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Dead Man's Chest

medium_PotC_TDMC.jpg

I've already watched my most awaited movie of the year, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dead Man's Chest. I watched it alone in G4-C2 at 12:40. It was the first film of the cinema. How did I know? We sang the national anthem.

medium_DMC_fave_scene.jpg

The movie was great. It was action-packed, comedy filled and full of adventures. My favourite part was the mill scene where Cap Sparrow, Will and Commodore I-forgot-who fought together. The mill was rolling and they had their fight scenes there. It was so cool. And it was also funny. Johnny Depp was still the actor who played Captain Jack Sparrow in Curse of the Black Pearl. Captain Jack Sparrow didn't fail me. I may have my disappointments with him but it's just Captain Jack. All you could do is laugh or chuckle.

The other actors were also good. Brilliant. Keira Knightly was able to portray Elizabeth as a woman of strength and determination yet so delicate and lady-like. Just don't mess with her. Orlando Bloom... he did good. All the actors were good. No. They were brilliant! All their actings contributed to the film's beauty and art. Wonderful.

The ending was a bit sad, or should I say it made me sad. Yes, it did. I actually gasped when I found out that it already ended. It really made me sad! Oh, Captain Jack Sparrow! *sob, sob*

Btw, I was also pleased to see what I wanted to see. Heehee... =p

The King and The Clown

medium_The_King_and_The_Clown.jpg

I already finished watching this film. Two-thumbs up! I've learned a lot from it. And I am grateful because I was able to watch this for free. ^_^V

This film is about two jesters who came into the palace to mock the king. Eventually, the king favoured to Gong-gil, a shy and feminine looking man. I'd say the story is filled with sadness. There was horror in it in the sense that everyone has his personal demons, but it's still sad. I feel pity for the king. And I am sorry for Gong-gil and his partner. Life is cruel, but jesters look at it as if it's just a stage, a performance.

Starring the film are Lee Jun-ki as Gong-gil, Kam Woo-seong as Jang-seng, Jeong Jin-yeong as King Yonsan, and Kang Seong-yeon as Nok-su, the king's consort.

From Wikipedia.com
The King and the Clown (왕의 남자, Wang ui Namja) is a 2005 South Korean film, adapted from the 2000 Korean play titled "Yi", ("You") about Yeonsangun of Joseon, a Joseon Dynasty king who falls in love with a court clown who mocks him. The movie is based on a small passage from the Annals of the Joseon Dynastythat briefly mentions the king's favorite clown. It is the highest grossing (over $85,000,000 in domestic receipts) Korean film in history with 12.3 million viewers, surpassing total admissions of Silmido and Taegukgi . Production costs were relatively modest for a Korean film, approximately $4.5 million dollars.

White Valentine

medium_White_Valentine.2.jpg

I just finished watching White Valentine. It's a sad story, filled with loneliness. The end was not even happy. Made me thought it's the typical or the usual way life goes. You don't always have happy endings.

By the way, it was Jun Ji-Hyun's debut movie. She was 18 years old then.

Tennis

My interest in Tennis before was not that strong, but it started because I saw PNU's Tennis court. I think there were some people playing way back then. By the way, that was in senior high school. I thought it was nice. OK. That was 3 years ago. Now, my interest in Tennis is back. The first factor was a K-Drama I am watching. Whenever some of the characters play Tennis, I find it intriguing and interesting. I want to play the sport. The second factor was a match I saw one day in Star Sports. It was a match of Mario Ancic (Croatia) and Nicolas M (I forgot the exact surname).

I was hooked watching the match. The first was because it's Tennis. But there was something about it I found so interessante. There was an aura I could hardly resist. I thought it was time for me to be the ever observant one. And guess what? I enjoyed watching, the match and the players. Liked to observe them.

It was my first time to have a favourite Tennis player, Mario Ancic, because I usually find no interest in players or to have a fave one. Well, he's a cool guy. Calm and laid back. Nicolas, on the other hand, was obvious to be anxious. I'm not sure if other people noticed it but for me it was obvious. But I'd like to see Nicolas' other match so I could observe him further. Of course, I also want to watch more of Mario's match.

I forgot the name of the cup but Mario Ancic of Croatia. Thanks to him, I now know Croatia's flag. =p

Reverse

Would it be really possible to say that a green pepper is not hot? Would it be even possible to show a face unaffected by a green pepper you're eating? Sounds quite impossible. To reverse psyche a thing which you have no direct physical reaction is rare.

How about a person's emotions? Can you argue with it and win? No matter how strong that emotion is and no matter how hard you do your best to supress it, it'll always show. It may not be obvious and evident but in some ways it will. I've tried it. I've tried to supress my anger and not show it. But in a subtle way, it can be seen. It would only take a clear heart to know. But the problem is the so-called "late reaction" for it is always there. It will ALWAYS show up no matter how deep you've burried it.

Of course, I am talking about a particular thing.
